The dangerous life of an adventurer is full of ghosts.

Write about someone you lost along the way. How did you deal with that loss?

I lost my dear friend and adventuring companion, Arin, on a quest to defeat a group of bandits who had been terrorizing a small village. Arin was a skilled warrior and had always been there to watch my back in dangerous situations.

We had been tracking the bandits for days and finally caught up with them in a dense forest. The battle was fierce and intense, and I was fighting for my life. I looked over to see Arin locked in combat with the bandit leader, a formidable opponent with years of experience under his belt.

As I fought off the other bandits, I watched in horror as the bandit leader landed a powerful blow on Arin, knocking him to the ground. I shouted his name and rushed to his side, but it was too late. Arin had passed on before I even reached him.

I was devastated by the loss of my friend and companion. It was hard to go on without him by my side. But I knew that Arin would have wanted me to continue the quest and see it through to the end, so that’s what I did. I fought with all my strength and determination and was able to defeat the bandits, avenging Arin’s death.

After the quest was over, I took some time to grieve and honor my fallen friend. I held a small ceremony in his honor, saying goodbye to him and thanking him for all the memories we had shared together. It was a difficult time, but I knew that I had to move on and continue on my journey, carrying the lessons and memories of Arin with me always.
